Credentialing

Ensuring medical, dental, and allied health professional staff have qualified and competent healthcare professionals to meet the complex, diverse medical and dental needs of the beneficiary population served and thus be able to provide the highest quality professional care possible to achieve and maintain accreditation by The Joint Commission (TJC), and to integrate Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs (ASD/HA), Department of Defense (DoD), external accrediting agency policies and standards to maximize quality and delivery of healthcare by professional assigned staff. Credentialing managers ensure that providers assigned to their unit are licensed, qualified, certified, and legally able to practice their profession at all times.
